The Eastwood HS Video Technology traveled to Anaheim, CA. to compete against the best young student broadcast journalists in the nation. The Eastwood Team attended the Student Television Network (STN) Convention where they competed in the Sweet Sixteen Student Broadcast competition. The contest consists of each team receiving a list of sixteen words, sixteen minutes to pick one word, and sixteen hours to produce an entire broadcast using the word chosen. Eastwood chose the word “Vocal” and competed in the Blue Division, which is the highest level that a team can compete in. After sixteen long hours, the Eastwood team was awarded 3rd place out of 71 teams. They were judged on impressive strong stories, strong overall production, creativity, and professionalism.
